Welcome to The Tom Collins Band – between them the players have years of experience on the Festival and folk circuit. The group is now based in South Wales but frequently tours in Ireland. Born and brought up close to the small town of Athlone in Western Ireland, Tom Collins adheres to the traditional sounds and tempos of Irish Music. Whilst some of the lyrics are from traditional songs most of the tunes are original, composed by Tom himself. Listen out for the energetic banjo throughout - and the jigs and reels bristling with funky accordion, mandolin and fiddle.
